What’s New in the 2024 Subaru Impreza

The most notable change for the 2024 model year Impreza is that it’s only offered as a hatchback. You can buy the 2024 Impreza in three trims: Base, Sport, and RS, which returns after a hiatus.

The RS trim has a 182-hp 2.5L four-cylinder engine, too. Every 2024 Impreza features a continuously variable transmission (CVT) standard. This new Impreza also features a larger available infotainment screen and expanded EyeSight suite of active safety features.

2024 Impreza: Engine and Performance

The base engine in the new Subaru Impreza is the same as previous model years: a 2.0-L flat-four number that pulls 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. As mentioned above, the Impreza RS features a more powerful 2.5-L boxer engine. Like all Subaru models, every Impreza is outfitted with a capable four-wheel drive system with torque vectoring.

The all-new Impreza also features a new power steering rack and electronic brake booster, which offers lighter steering and braking for commutes and road trips alike.

For 2024, Subaru focused on an ergonomic driving experience and quiet cabin, and they delivered on both fronts. Every trim features dual-zone climate control is paired with lots of room for driver and passengers in both rows. Drivers who just love the open road will appreciate the cabin’s uncomplicated design and easy-to-use interfaces.

When you’re heading on a road trip, you can fit up to 56 cubic feet of gear, luggage, and the like in the back, too. And you have the choice between standard 7.0-inch touchscreen and a huge 11.6-inch display to control everything with.

For safety’s sake, the new 2024 Impreza is fitted with Starlink on select models, as well as EyeSight Driver Assist Technology standard on all trims, as well as automatic emergency steering, blind-spot detection, and more.
